Since 2012, Ben Waters, trader, has managed a real-money portfolio of funds, using the derived trading profits to fund his university tuition and associated living expenses. He deploys a range of strategies, including fundamental analysis and DCF and multiples valuation (for equities) and outright calls, debit spreads, credit spreads and horizontal spreads (for options).

As an equity delta one trader in Global Indices/MSCI – a position he has held since March 2019 – Mr Waters trades in Developed Markets and Emerging Markets (with a focus on the latter).

Benjamin Waters, trader, formerly worked for Citi in London as a summer analyst between June and Augst 2017 on the Trading Execution Desk. From June 2014 to June 2015 he was an investment analyst for New Zealand’s University of Auckland Investment Club Inc, where he was required to follow the committee’s intensive and thorough investment selection process. As a result of his achievements in this role, Mr Waters was awarded the Outstanding Performance by a UAIC Committee Member 2014-2015 award.

Mr Waters holds a BSc degree in accounting and finance from the London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE), along with AS Levels in mathematics and biology and an A Level in mathematics. To relax, he enjoys a range of sports including basketball, tennis and sailing, and he also likes to travel.
