Retired newspaper man and descended from a builder of the Bell Rock Lighthouse. The early scans, part of the family archive of 35 mm slides and more modern snapshots, do not pretend any professional excellence. They may, however, show areas of Scotland off the beaten track, and may persuade prospective visitors to come and see for themselves!

Those taken between 1959 and 1978 are my favourites - mainly from 35 mm slides. The film used in those days was either Kodak Color II or Kodachrome. In my opinion the intensity of colour cannot be beat!
