I started out in Second Life on 3rd May 2018, having never gamed before. I'm not really sure if SL is a game? I came in as myself, because I assumed that's what people did. I managed to make rapid progress with my Avatar, even though it's a steep learning curve, by chatting to anyone who would listen, and have received enormous support from people in world, and the community forum. SL has become an extension of my life in the nicest possible way. I love every minute of being in-world. I chased photo collaborations from day 1 and this approach has given me a group of amazing friends who add so much to my SL.
There's fun to be had in world, by shopping, by making up outfits, making up backscenes, by dancing and dating, and of course by chatting. If you read this and have not tried SL, then take a look!
