In addition to my passion for photography, I've enjoyed a 10-year career in video games, including design contributions to a few internationally award-winning titles.

I see today's world as an amazingly vast and diverse, but tightly connected collection of cultures, environments, and economies. Every action we take has an effect on other's lives across the planet, whether it be about money, human rights, quality of life, or environment. I consider it every person's obligation, within their means, to cherish that connection and treat it with responsibility.

As a photographer, my travels have allowed me to witness an amazing collection of cultural and ethnic diversity, a sampling of the many colorful threads woven together to form the cloth of humanity. Every time I visit a new place, I try to reach beyond tourism, and really get to know the spirit of that location and its people, with curious eyes and active participation.

It is my hope that through photography, others can be inspired to consider that diversity and fragility, to learn more about the world's possibilities, and to rise to action. We all need to do what we can to respect and preserve its land, water, air, and our fellow peoples.

Style & Equipment: I shoot with a Canon 20D, with assorted lenses and filters. Although I started photography with an eye for landscapes, as I get older I feel the need to capture the human element as much as possible. My favorite photos are what I call "ethnic environmental portraits", capturing various people in their daily routines, in the faraway places they live and work.)
