We live in a world that is dark at least half the time. The sun rises and sets. Day turns into night into day into night - ad infinitum. The life that shines in that darkness needs capturing. Life that happens in the daytime should be seen more clearly. Photography helps us remember those glimpses into the eternal whether it be the face of a newborn child; that look a groom has on his face when he sees his about-to-be bride walking down the aisle; the veiled smile of the bride as she sees him waiting for her; the fleeting colors of sunset, sunrise, or the seasons; purple, yellow, or pink flowers; the hands and feet of those in need and those who offer assistance; the sadness, the joy, and the life that is worth living. Photography captures those moments in time I'm certain to forget. I'm hopeful that others want to remember particular moments in their lives as well and I take pleasure in being part of those memories. We have a need to connect to each other, the world around us, and to the deeper meaning of why we're here. For me, one of those ways to connect is through photography.
