Sam Jamison, my grandfather: a Belfast sailor who lived later in Brum and spoke of waves bigger than houses .. was my biggest inspiration in early life - "calm, always making something for someone in his modest back garden: a plant pot, a bench .." and .. my sister, Shelly "is a rock: gigantic, geographic with deep, deep roots .. on the radar, thousands seek her out but never find her" .. and I love my brother, Captain Kirk - always will.. "but for now we are like Cornwall and Brittany: connected and disconnected, cool, crackers and rugged with memories of slacker hilarity, deliberate autodidact anarchic daftness and of course the flipside: sadness. Like all kids we knew quirks: strange fates, weirdness, dysfunction: unwelcome balance that goes by the moniker of "pain, tears and heartache".

Have a heart. Educate or outwit the witless dependent on their regular choices. Existenz is a crazy war of survival and ideas with beautiful things and events unfolding constantly. Partake. Enjoy. Live. Be somebody. Wealth has a role (as does benevolence) but it is sometimes a false, deliberately blinding barometer. Sell your wares but don't sell your soul.
