I am a person who likes idioms and phrases. Of my favorite, ‘where there is a will, there is a way’ is one that I often bellow. If for any reason, I like the rhythm and sound of it. Idioms and phrases, for me, are my hues and colors for creating language. I, too, like to see a range of hues and colors in a photograph. There is someone that seems to make it seem rather easy. Folks, I give you Dennis Sheehy. Dennis brings to the table an uncompromising love for nature’s beauty. Look at his October photos, and you’ll see what I mean. There is something else that is important that that should you notice. Dennis is committed to excellence. It is commitment and sacrifice that drives, nay, motivates him to rise early in the morning to catch a coastal sunrise. It is that commitment that places him in the midst of autumn trees and marshes. Dennis could flip pages in a photo magazine and go through the motions. He has another calling. In this short story, Dennis is one of my favorite characters (photographers) who like to look at mushrooms, maiden grasses, and approaching storms. I don’t know if I ever will visit Maine. It would be a joy, a treat, and a real experience. Even if I did, I would be in awe knowing that this is where Dennis has his “Kodak moments”. Jamar L. Cotton Corona, California
