I am in my early 60's, with time on my hands. I only took up serious photography since retiring through ill-health.
My brother and his wife persuaded my wife and me to join a local, informal, camera club and we were both hooked. Another member of 'Inn Decent Exposures' suggested that I join the 'Norwich and District Photographic Society' as well. Both Julie, my wife, and me joined NDPS and we both feel that our photography has come on in leaps and bounds.
We both quickly realised the limitations of our compact cameras and invested in DSLR's. I must admit, however, that I do still enjoy taking pictures with my compact and usually carry it with me everywhere I go. A DSLR is not always convenient.
I currently use a Nikon D60 with a variety of lenses.
My favourite areas of photography are Macro, Abstract and Candid Portraiture.
