I am a jewelry artisan specializing in kumihimo (Japanese braiding). I also like to work with wire, both silver and copper. This may seem odd, fiber and metal interests together, but the combination works for me. I have started selling pieces on Etsy, as "BeadsOnHand". I began my jewelry adventure by starting to make rosaries, hence the name: BeadsOnHand (as in running the beads of a rosary through my fingers). It gets cold up here in Maine in the winter but any day I can play with silk and wire and beads is a perfect day.
