I am a Vancouver-based writer with an interest in beer, coffee, culture, current affairs, gastronomy, history, politics, and travel. In addition to blogging on beer in B.C., I currently write for Northwest Brewing News and CAMRA BC’s What’s Brewing. I have also begun writing a book on coffee and travel called Adventures in Your Cup.
Previously, I worked in the cruise industry for a passenger agent, port agent, and logistics company serving the cruise lines with ships going to Alaska. Prior to that, I was a multimedia writer, editor, entrepreneur, and producer for 10 years in Hong Kong and San Francisco, publishing for CD-ROM and the Web.
I am also currently the President of the Vancouver chapter of the Campaign for Real Ale, an independent consumer organization dedicated to pubs, drinkers’ rights, and supporting the brewing of traditional styles of beer in the traditional manner, using traditional ingredients.
