Bay Trust (shortened from St Margaret's Bay Trust) is a charitable organisation that manages the Pines Garden in Dover, Kent. This includes the gardens themselves where reclaimed land is now used to increase the biodiversity in the local area.

From late 2006 the Pines Garden boasts a new events space called the Pines Calyx. This venue incorporates a number of building techniques; some ancient but all innovative, that show how sustainable buildings can be created for the same costs as traditionally constructed developments.

The photographs here show the full development of the project over a period of around 20months, from when the area was prepared, to the finishing touches on the landscaping.

Pines Calyx is the first purpose-built, sustainable conference and training centre in Europe with a very low carbon footprint. It is the Trust's goal to become carbon neutral by 2008.
