I am an airline ramp agent and former yard van driver for Renzenberger, Inc. and also volunteer at the Niles Canyon Railway. When I'm not working or volunteering, I spend the day trackside at various locations all over California...mostly the San Francisco Bay Area, but also the Sierra Nevada Mountains, Tehachapi Pass, and Central Valley, the Portola/Quincy area, Shasta Route, and Southern California. Occasionally, I will also make trips outside of California to get some variety. I've seen common locomotives, such as the GP38-2, SD70M, and the GP15-1, and more rare locomotives like the SD60M and SD40-2. The rarest set of locomotives I've seen so far was the Niles Canyon Railway's own Krauss-Maffei ML4000C'C' diesel-hydraulic locomotive, Southern Pacific 9010, on her special 50th Birthday train with fellow SP locomotives SD9 No. 5472 and GP9 No. 5623.

Favorite EMD locomotive: SD40-2 followed by the SD70ACe.

Favorite GE locomotive: AC6000CW followed by the Dash 8-32BWH.
