Bay Area LISC is one site of the Local Initiatives Support Corporation (LISC), the nation’s largest community development support organization. Our mission is to help community residents create healthy and sustainable places of choice and opportunity.

Bay Area LISC equips struggling communities with the capital, strategy and know-how to become places where people can thrive.

Our transformative community-building programs of affordable housing, neighborhood and family economic development are helping to bridge the economic divide for low-income families across the San Francisco Bay region. Working closely with corporate and philanthropic support, we provide loans, grants and equity investments, policy support, as well as the technical and management assistance to help create good places to live, work, do business and raise children

LISC engages in a wide array of programs and services to the nonprofit and public sectors throughout the nine Bay Area counties with emphasis on Alameda, Contra Costa, San Francisco, and Santa Clara.
