Welcome to my small corner of the internet.

Please feel free to browse my images and leave comments and critiques as you go. I need my eyes opening to all points of view.

I have been taking photographs (with many sabbaticals) since the early 1980s and went digital in 2005 when my trusty Pentax SLRs finally passed away.

The equipment I use is rather old fashioned by today's standards, and yet easily capable of outperforming my abilities:

Fuji Finepix S5100 (4MP)

Olympus E1 (5MP)

Sigma SD10 (3.4MP)

Zuiko ZD 14-45mm (4/3)

Zuiko ZD 40-150mm (4/3)

Zuiko ZD 35mm Macro (4/3)

Pentax SMC-M 50mm F1.7 (PK)

Pentax SMC-M 80-200 F4-5.6 (PK)

Chinon 28mm F2.8 (PK)

Tokina 24mm F2.8 (PK)

Helios 58mm F2 (M42)

Opteka 6.5mm (aka Samyang 8mm) UWA (NI)

Plus tripod and other odds and ends.

Dream buys (again, hardly cutting edge):

Olympus E330 (for the extra 2.5MP and live view)

Olympus E3 (see Kevin-T and Lynns work in my contacts)

Fuji S2/S3/S5 Pro (see Paul Scotts work in my contacts)

My preferred subjects are usually sedentary, and this fits in nicely with my love for using legacy manual lenses on my DSLRs.

My inspiration comes from many quarters in the art and photography world. Please see my Flickr contacts for inspirational images from the Flickr community.

Finally, I apologise unreservedly for overprocessing my images. It is truly difficult for me to resist the temptation to push those sliders just... a... little... bit... more...

Regards

Barry
