i like to see photography in the original greek sense of the word: writing with light. i´m content with a possibly precise but mere description of the subject, and i fancy the idea of achieving this by minor technical efforts, using an ordinary consumer cam like my pentax optio 750z.

to me, a good picture inevitably requires a strong esthetic appeal that doesn´t necessarily have to emerge from the subject itself but rather from the way it´s done, in terms of proportion, focus and lighting. I´d anytime favor an excellent photo of utmost ugliness over a lousy depiction of the nicest thing.
