I'm a recently retired Silicon Valley IT manager, which puts me on a karmic path to be reincarnated as an insect. Ah well. This life is good and I intend to keep documenting it -- at least what remains of it -- with commentary as needed, so that my offspring can see what I saw in the world.
Well that's the plan, except I have no offspring. So my pleasure is limited. But I do get a thrill whenever visitors leave witty comments or ask if they can use one of my pictures as wallpaper for their desktop :)

bat ... bats ... Where do I start ?? I 've known Bob for a few years now and we have been on a few shoots together .. He's a real sarcastic piece of work !! His New York style of humor has stayed with him all these years he has been in the Bay Area .. I've followed Bob's image stream for quite some time now and his development as a photographer has been astonishing .. He has 'the eye' plus the technical ability to make a great image, fantastic !! I was fortunate enough to have several one on one lessons from Bob in Photoshop which has help me immensely in my creative process .. There are 4 or 5 photographers whose image stream I visit everyday .. bats... is one of them !! Thank you, Bob !!!

I find it rather astonishing that a cool dude like Bob doesn't have any flickr testimonials yet. I've been an admirer of and commenter on his photography for some time. And having recently been fortunate enough to have met him and to have spent some time with him photographing his fair city, I can confirm that he's the same knowledgeable, urbane, and witty guy who appears here with his work for all of us to enjoy. And it's no wonder that his photostream contains, in addition to some of the best photographic work around, some of the best repartee and intelligent conversation on flickr. Cheers, my friend.
