I have been a basketmaker and basket collector since the 1970's. I weave historically accurate traditional New England baskets. My primary material is Black Ash woodsplint. I have been the sole author and editor of BasketMakers.com, an independent niche informational site about basketry on the web since 2001. Before that I was the About.com and MiningCo.com Guide to Basketry starting in 1998. I am one of the original five founding members of Northeast Basketmakers Guild having served as President 2002-2004. I have also served as a member of the board of the National Basketry Organization.
