basic_program is my partner in photography, life and probably crime. While keeping me company on some of my shoots, he would jokingly call himself my "assistant", but as time went on, he kept asking more questions, and displaying a growing interest in learning how to "help" me further. After admitting to being intimidated by a SLR camera, it was nice to be able to encourage him, and watch him take his first steps and become more comfortable with using one, and to develop more of an appetite for photography itself. It's exciting to watch him grow as a photographer, and to see his range of subject matter grow as he tries to find his niche. He seems to crave learning and mastering his craft no matter what he does, and photography is no different. I'm happy and lucky to have someone as eager as I am to attempt, learn and even master new techniques, and it's flattering to hear that he thinks he learned anything from me. I can't wait to see what else he comes up with as he grows, and I will always look forward to "picturing" with him.
