I like eating chicken and fish, but usually not together. I can't say whether or not I like that since I've never done that. I think I should try it. Maybe (if I could cook) I will make a dish containing BOTH, but not a casserole. My mother used to make a LOT of casseroles. She's a fantastic cook, but some casseroles just should not be made. Ever. It's a wonder that I'm not obese, though. Her cooking is amazing. That's one of the MAIN things I miss about living at home. That doesn't mean I miss living at home in general. Not in the least. The negatives of living at home far outweigh the positives. Don't get me wrong, though. I love my family very much. (well, I guess being of the age to be starting a life, I don't much want to live at home in any case) At least I could record music whenever I wanted when I lived at home. There was enough space between my studio in the basement and my parents' room on the second floor. I have too many roommates to simply record whenever it strikes my fancy. We have a noise agreement stating that all noise will be permitted between the hours of 10 AM and 10 PM. For me, an extreme night owl, that's rather restricting. I'm most productive after the witching hour. But so it goes. The rent's low and I love every one of my roommates. We're pretty much family members. Literally. In Christ. It's beautiful. It's the truest community I've been involved in to this extent. We're all fantastically "real" and any given day one of us can be found reading Scripture or we could be discussing a passage or an idea or theories and concepts regarding Christian living. It's pretty much the best place I've ever lived. Living in Chicago was nice, but it was ridiculously expensive. I'm happy here in smalltown USA.
And that's me.
