Hello, I am bas, I am rather old and I bought a camera far too late in life. I then started to learn how to use it. That journey is likely to be longer than my own.

I joined the POTN forum and saw a whole host of images that amazed me and inspired me to progress. I loved the macro work done on the forum, so I went for that genre. I was a slow learner (or photography was more complicated than I imagined) but I had a few shots that were at best OK after a year or two.

Regardless of my lack of skill even in one genre I started work with other stuff, and as I loved portrait shots and some glamour work, I have started with portrait , art nude and fashion. I am now officially not good at multiple genres :(
