I waste my time with computers. The time I do spend taking pictures is usually (about 97% of it) used to take pictures of my nieces and nephews.

In time past, I spent a lot of time with computer graphics. No, I didn't waste all my time with photoshop; I was writing 3d rendering programs. An appropriate term would be "image synthesis".

I took a few photography classes in high school and in college. At least one college instructor said that I had picked up bad habits in high school, and referred to my developing techniques as "combat photography".

Most of my pictures were 35mm film, but I have now far surpassed the point where I can say "most".

A few years back, I had a digital camera donated to me. For a while, I walked around with a film camera in one hand, and the digital in the other (usually upside-down, since it was easier to hit the shutter that way). Two years ago, I bought a much better digital camera, and have taken very few pictures with my film camera since.

All of the pictures that I scatter around this site will be from between 1991 and the present, leaning more towards the later. Anything before the end of 2001 will be from scanned negatives/slides.

I've been taking pottery classes for a about two years now. I still suck at it, but I suck in new and better ways than I did when I started.

A true Linux geek, I install it everywhere. I even bought a Mac Mini, and promptly installed linux on it. Yes, I can still boot it into OSX.

Have problems with your windows machine? I'd usually rather sit on a cactus than fix it.
