Since 1976, for just over 26 years, I was a full-time professional commercial photographer and graphic designer working for clients in Ireland and internationally. Now as an artist I have the freedom to shoot what I want with whatever camera I want.

My film based photography is mostly shot when I'm out and about with my beloved Kodak Retinas from the 1950's, and Polaroid SX-70 Sonar - instead of what was once a Studio packed full of sophisticated cameras, lighting and processing equipment.

Coming full circle to being an amateur again is a wonderful freedom.

Sometimes, when I'm feeling lucky, I use my assortment of 'toy' Holga cameras. Photoshop is not used on any of the images. Occasionally I crop the originals just as I do in my studio darkroom.

I'm a full time artist based on Maui specializing in painting, drawing and photography. I continue to explore the medium of analog, film-based photography as part of my artwork.
