The Barrier Free Memphis Society was founded in the early 80s by Linc Adel to identify and eradicate barriers to people with disabilities which make their participation in the full life of the community difficult.

BFMS carries on Linc's work in the community with the help and support of the Memphis Center for Independent Living.

We will use this site to identify physical accessibility barriers in the community, to illustrate corrected problems and to illustrate effective, creative solutions for access.

BFMS meets the first Monday of each month, 3:00PM, at MCIL, 1633 Madison Ave., 901-726-6404
