Sou médico e fotógrafo amador. Minhas experiências com fotografia começaram 2002, quando adquiri minha primeira câmera digital, uma SONY P32 com apenas 3 megapyxels e muito poucos recursos. De lá para cá, passei por um aprendizado do tipo tentativa e erro, muito embora, lendo sempre muitas publicações especializadas a respeito principalmente do controle da luz. Percebi então que necessitava investir em uma boa câmera amadora, que me permitisse o controle de exposição e velocidade do obturador, além de um zoom decente, é claro.

Trabalhei até julho de 2008 com uma SONY DSC H5 com zoom de 12 x que preencheu minhas necessidades de iniciante em fotografia. Utilizei por curto período uma Nikon D40 que se mostrou uma câmera fantástica, superando todas as minhas expectativas. Em seguida, atualizei para a D80 que continua como equipamento alternativo.

No momento, uso uma Nikon D200 e estou plenamente satisfeito com o equipamento. Além disso, recentemente adquiri uma Canon PowerShot SX500 IS.

Publiquei algumas fotografias no Panorâmio, e tive várias selecionadas para visualização no Google Earth, o que me trouxe alguma satisfação por embutir algum reconhecimento, tendo em vista a iniciativa inteiramente amadora.

Estarei então, a partir de agora, publicando neste espaço as fotografias que lá estão, além de outras que forem surgindo.

Espero que comentem e critiquem as imagens livremente.

I'm Intensive Care Medicine doctor and amateur photographer. My experience with digital photography began in 2002 when I acquired my first digital camera, a SONY P32 with only 3 megapyxels resolution and few resources. At that time, I began to photograph freely. Soon I also began to read a few publications, mainly in search of the light control.

It was then that I realized I needed a better camera, capable of controlling aperture and exposure time and a good zoom.

Then I purchased a Sony DSC H5, that despite having a powerful optical zoom, soon proved unsatisfactory. It generated too much saturated images, unable to meet my increasing demands. In 2008, for a short period, I worked with my first Nikon. A modest D40, which although reliable, was not the camera of my dreams.

In March 2009, I bought a brand new Nikon D80, replaced two years later by a D200.

And so far, Nikon D200 has been the camera that meets my necessities as amateur photographer. Recently I bought a Canon PowerShot SX500 IS, which should be a low weight and easy transport alternative.

One day, I submitted some images to Google Panoramio and have now a fair amount of images approved for viewing in Google Earth. Although not exactly a photography competition, the service worked as a stimulus for me to get involved further with the fascinating world of photography.

In this space, I intend to publish exclusive pictures, which can be understood as the record of my learning in photography.
