I am a retired clerk from the railway operating department in the West Midlands.
I have been taking railway photographs for over 50 years. The early shots were taken with my fathers Box Brownie. My first camera was a Kodak Cresta, then I was given the Box Brownie which I left behind at Newton Abbot one summer never to be seen again. I borrowed a Selfix 12-20 from my aunt until I could afford a new camera. I bought my Voightländer Vitomatic IIIb in 1965 and later a Nikon Nikkormat FTN.
I now have a Panasonic Lumix GX8, and LX100 compact.
All of the photos are taken by me (except for the handful that are of me) and I own the copyright. However, I welcome people to download any of my images that they may want, as long as they are purely for their own personal non-profit use. If anyone does make any money out of them, I suggest that a donation to a charity such as Macmillan or Cancer Research UK would be welcome.

Bill took some fantastic photos of the steam age and he was very helpful to me in identifying some of the locations for my photos. Very sad to hear of his death.
