This photo shooting addictions, all started with a Box Brownie. Bought on time, when I was in the 8th grade and paid for with babysitting money.
I then graduated to an Olympus 35 SP range finder. Which stood me in good stead for many years, of course I took some of my award winning and greatest shots “with the lense cap still on” !!!
A whole new door opened when I up graded to a 1975 Olympus OM2 and all the wonderful lenses and filters that went with it. It has traveled the world with me and still is a best friend. It has not totally retired.
What photographers are doing now with the computer we only had the dark room to experiment and alter what the film captured. I spent many hours there!.
I now have an Olympus E 410 digital. There have been other cameras mostly point and shoot. Both film and digital. I have somewhere in the range of 62 years of looking at the world thru a small square view finder. Recording the growth of 4 children, attempting to capture the changing faces of the mountains I have climbed. and the world around me. What a wonderful journey I am on. “And the road goes on forever”
