I'm in love with digital photography, having made the switch at the beginning of 2006. No going back to film! For me, it's a serious hobby, a way to combine technical, artistic and expressive elements. Sometimes it's the process, sometimes it's the product.

Barbara is one of my very good friends whom I met here on Flickr. She and I met during a local Flickr Meetup at Filoli Garden & Estate and hit it off right away. The day we met, I remember her telling me that she liked me because I encouraged her to take pictures of people and things that she normally wouldn't take and that we were going to get along great! She is encouraging and inspirational. I learn something new everytime I look at her photostream because it makes me ask, "now why didn't I think of that?" and "how did she do that?" She is very creative with that camera. And boy does she have a steady hand with those huge L-series lenses! Oh! She also lets me borrow her lenses at the very low price of $0! Not sure if that is a good thing because afterwards I end up buying a new lens. She is a great teacher too! She always has suggestions, tips and tricks on photography and that is always appreciated because I feel that my photography skills have improved tremendously by taking her advice. Aside from being a talented photographer, she is also a great friend. I enjoy her company whether it is chatting online late at night or a photoshoot somewhere along the windy roads of the Bay Area. ;) She is a strong lady with a huge heart who gives and gives but doesn't expect anything in return. She is strong-willed and fun to be with and I will miss her soooooooo much when I move to Washington. You're the best!
