I'm a Swiss 32-year-old language and kindergarden teacher born of an Italian father and a Swiss-German mother. I've been captured by photography quite early in my life and I won my first school photo-contest at the age of 7. I attended a short photography workshop at my University in Lausanne, Switzerland, in 2002, and continued taking pictures for years, but couldn’t yet see it as an art itself. It’s with my personal maturity that I discovered photography to be finally essential to me. It became a sort of challenge with the world and the things it shows off, a pursuit of the beauties we are given to see and feel. Each subject is perceived as a single gift, as a special moment in which I can be the main and only witness. Minimalism entered my creative photography in the last 4 years but finds its higher expression in this current year. Details, simplicity and synthesis become more and more part of my interest thanks to a new quiet and mature perception of life and its aspects. A closer and more attentive look at things is the result of a constant development of soul and eyes together, both necessary to contemplate the simple purity often just hidden behind corners. Simple beauty is given to all, the challenge is to be prepared to capture it, and each shot becomes therefore a great personal conquest.
