Banjusap’s environmental responsibility lies in the nature and process of the mulberry bark extraction whereas mulberry bark is safely extracted from the tree and used in a hand-made production process leaving the mulberry tree entirely capable of regenerating additional layers of bark for future production needs within a twelve month period. Therefore, the main natural resource of Banjusap Export Company Limited remains a healthy, renewable, natural resource that will not harm or deplete the natural environment.

Social Responsibility

We at Banjusap pride ourselves in our social responsibility efforts by employing a production team of over thirty-five local Thai and Shan/Burmese women in a safe and clean working environment. Our production team members receive pay above regional standards, health insurance, voluntary overtime incentives and a relaxing atmosphere to spend their time away from home. Banjusap is located in the village of Nonghoi, Chiangmai which provides the production team easy access to their place of work and separates at-risk women from the lure of less desirable work opportunities in the city and surrounding areas.
