I have a Canon PowerShot SD1000, but mostly I take serendipity shots with my iPhone. My goals are usually to take inner city shots of San Francisco, pictures of my crafts in-progress for my family & friends, and otherwise take snapshots during social events. I usually blog the photos with more description on banane.com if you're interested. Many landscapes are used in murder mystery series.

I bought my first camera- Nikon FM2- when I was 16, and promptly setup two darkrooms in my house, took classes, got an enlarger, and filters from a family friend. I've moved onto the Olympus as my first digital camera, a $100 shrink wrapped thing at Frye's, then the Canon series. I'm a sucker for a small camera on-the-go that I don't have to worry about. As for video- my Canon and Macbook take OK video which I put on banane.com/hosted-videos.

My intent with most landscapes and people photos are to "remember a happy place," tell a story, or share some feeling I have with the subject. As a photographer friend once told me, "get a better camera," when I can stop using that excuse, I'll actually have to try harder to take good pictures.
