I love photography got my first camera when I was eight years old. I am now in my late 30's and still enjoy it as a hobby. I love experimenting with the images and find that part of the fun. I take my camera out most weekends as its when you least expect it you usually get a great image. There has been many a time I have said 'Oh I wish I had my camera!'.
I have met some great people along the way who also share a passion for taking photos. I am really enjoying viewing streams from all over the world and it has certainly opened my eyes to the joys photography can bring.
Please can I ask that you only add me as a contact if you intend to comment and give critique on my photos and vice versa. I'm not interested in being just a number's statistic on someone's stream.

I guess I know Beverley best of the people I've met on flickr and that's because Beverley has gone out of her way to be interested, encouraging and enthusiastic in her support. She notices and she cares about the effort and the vision that goes into those photos that she comments on, and I value her input because I know it's genuine. All these qualities, an eye for detail, care, discernment, enthusiasm and the rest, are what makes Beverley's photography so stiking. Beverley has an original vision. She captures the extraordinary in the ordinary. She has that ability that children have which is to make you look at things, as though seeing them for the first time. There are so many fantastic photographers on flickr but I only know of relatively few whose photographs I recognise because of their style and the originality of their vision. Beverley is one of these. I have the sense with Beverley that she is just trying her wings now, stretching them, seeing what they'll do, but one day soon she'll fly. I watch and wait with wonder.
