I love nature and enjoy doing macro shots, but seeing some of the talent on this site is exposing me to some other ideas that I might want to check out. I don't do a lot of photography but I get a lot of satisfaction from capturing the beauty I see around me. Sometimes when I'm in an ugly area or find something initially unappealing, I'll study it to see if there's a way to change my initial impressions. I believe photography has that power, to remain true to reality while selectively twisting our perception to show us another side. I happen to enjoy the aspect of transforming the mundane into something noteworthy.

For the last 5 years I've used up 2 Cybershots and am working on a 3rd. I believe it's the P200. I love my little camera, but there are things I just can't figure out how to do with it, like long exposure photography, which I'd love to explore. Anyone want to buy me a great digital SLR? I'll perform sexual favors in exchange! Airfare must be provided.
