I have always liked photography but never really got into it until I got my Canon 1000d. I realised that I could play around without the cost of film or the limitations of a compact, and then the fun started. This was upgraded to a 550d a while later, when we were expecting number one son as it did video ;-)

8 years later a wedding, two children and some investment in good lenses, some money wasted on cheap ones, and plenty of lessons learnt along the way, I think I can call myself a photographer, not a good one, sometimes a lucky one, but improving as time goes by.

I just upgraded the 550d, she served me well, to a 7d Mk2. So if my pictures don't get any better is down to me and not the equipment.
