Chasing the light. It is my therapy!

I look up a lot. Must have started because my father had a shiny camera that this little active boy must not touch! My folks kept that camera on a high shelf.

My first camera is on display on a shelf above the window - up high. I got it with some boxtops from Tide detergent and a few dollars when I was 8 or 9.

When I was 15 or 16 my sisters and I got Dad an adjustable SLR. It's up on another shelf. A Kowa SETR2.

My folks got me a Konica T4 when I was in college majoring in Commercial Photography.

I had a career of a Photojournalist for about 35 years. Until people started turning away from papers. Papers had to downsize. Ours lost about 3/4 of their staff. I was one of those downsized out.

I felt like the winds were taken away from my sails in life! I panicked. I struggled. My pain was beyond me. I got help. I survived. I got a job I didn't want but it did more than pay my bills.

Life changes. I've remarried, it's been an awesome 2+ years! I moved from central Alabama where I lived for 40 years. I'm in south Alabama in a place I never knew existed!

I've found the wind, the Creator of the wind. I'm in a new life. For decades newspapers had supplied my camera equipment. Now, for the first time, I own Nikon equipment!

New adventures abound. Thank you Father for my journey!

So - I chase the light. Keep looking. Keep the amazement of a child within you! It's all about the light!

I can't wait to get into this new equipment! Maybe when things slow down about the first of this new year! Could be earlier!

Keep watching the light!
