I am a Marine biologist graduate with a background in marine mammals and marine ecology. I have been working in the field of marine mammals for the last five years and recently completed (thesis defended at the end of August 2010) a MSc in Marine Mammal Science from the University of Iceland, investigating the feeding behaviour of common minke whales and white-beaked dolphins and inspecting the foraging association of both species with coastal seabirds.

Research overview: The use of individual identification techniques (photo-identification) to quantify the population abundance, social and health parameters of animal populations, principally coastal cetaceans. My research applies these tools to help understand and mitigate the impacts of anthropogenic activities on wild populations.

I have a Nikon D80, D90 and D200

zoom lens: 70-300 mm Nikor lens

zoom lens: 28-75 mm f=2.8 Tamron

zoom lens: 70-200 mm f=2.8 Sigma
