I’m a 60 yr. old, married, father to 4 great kids (the oldest 3 are 25 yr. old triplets and my youngest is 22).

I’ve always had a love for taking pictures, way back to Polaroids, and Kodak Instamatic pocket cameras in the late 60’s and early 70’s. I got my first 35mm (Minolta XG-1) in the early 80’s and was amazed at the difference in photo quality from my prints. I’ve always had a love for the outdoors and nature/scenery photography (and still do when time permits). But, after marriage and the birth of our triplets, outdoor photo time became non-existent! My focus then shifted to shots of the kids. Then time slipped away and I really didn’t have much time to take pictures anymore. A Disney trip in 2001 triggered the purchase of my first digital P&S camera (We went through a few of those!!!). As the kids became more involved in sports, the lag time of P&S’s didn’t meet my needs as a sports photographer. I now own a Nikon D7100, D300s and a D70s . (update: after my D70s was stolen, it was replaced with a D90), and most recently added a D750.

I had always wanted to be a photographer when I grew up. That hasn’t changed... I’m just waiting until I grow up! I still can’t wait!!!
