One day as I was browsing flickr photos I came across a picture titled as “Haunted by Bokeh” and I laughed … It was a shot of a skeleton surrounded by amazing bokeh…..The picture is from this great photographer Bahketni’s stream. Now about this screen name, I was never able to figure out that he reversed his name..haha.. until one day when I was breaking my teeth to pronounce it my friend helped me by revealing the secret that it is Intekhab .. His stream is a wonderful place to visit…. He has done all different sorts of photography, landscape, macro, portraits…and he excels in every area. Sometimes the captions of his postings will make you laugh, many times they are very informative….. These are the few reasons out of a thousand why I visit his stream religiously….. He has great interest for fauna and flora, but he shines in every photography areas easily. His experimental shots will blow your mind away and his shots with birds will make you wiser if you knew little about birds. He is a wonderful human being, loves photography and nothing keeps him away from doing what he really likes from his heart. He is very helpful and supportive towards new photographers like myself. He is undoubtedly an ispiration for me on my journey as a photographer.

Ah, this is an easy testimony to write. And believe me, I don't write many. My 24 hour days feels more like 4 lately. But Bahketni.......well...he is worth the time. This fella always makes me smile, and often elicits a good belly laugh with his comments. He has one of those personalities that is so outgoing and warm you feel you've known him forever. He is special. And I am honored to call him friend. As photographers go, wow! He knocks me out. His stream is never boring. He photographs everything and anything and he does it with flair. This is someone to watch and learn from. His work inspires and sometimes just makes a person feel good. For me personally, the greatest gift Flicker offers is the opportunity to meet not only talented folks from all over the world, but good, caring people, who share a passion for the art of photography. With his help I set up my first group, I could never have done this on my own. Where to begin.....ya know, I am not sure where it all started, but I do know that I value Intekhab as a friend and trusted photo buddy. I enjoy and look forward to any comments or suggestions he may have for any of my photos. He has come a long way and I have definitely seen him mature in his photo taking. I have never seen someone so eager and always adding photos to his site as much as he does. I wish I had his energy! He is always so thankful for any comments, suggestions, etc. that any of us throw his way, a true sign of being humble. I hope to someday catch up with him in his endeavors to be, not a professional photographer, but one who sees what lies beneath the surface of a what may be to some an ordinary picture. I wish him only the best in his photo journey and I hope that we will remain photo buddies for a good long time.
