Until a year ago I'd been using Flickr for storing and sharing pictures with family and friends, mostly taken on a pocket compact. The last SLR I used was my Canon AE-1 more than twenty years ago, although work involves using the venerable Nikon D-80 DSLR, but there has been little excuse to enjoy photography for its own sake.

Now though, my wife has been bitten by the bug and always wants to be out and about with her Pentax K-x and since I've got my hands on a lovely little Nikon D5000, we're having a riot together.

There is nothing better than being somewhere you want to be, with someone you you want to be with all the time and doing something you both really want to do.
