We’re going to relive the glory days of “American Gladiators” by recreating it in our backyards!

The idea and enthusiasm for Backyard Gladiators was created among one woman and three (maybe five) men one night over drinks and music at Red 7. The conversation, although it seemed it was just in jest….quickly became a serious plan of action.

In a nutshell, Backyard Gladiators attempts to capture the essence of the beauty of a show like “American Gladiators” in someone’s backyard.

It’s a lovely combination of partying, athleticism, competition, and messiness.

At each event, competitors strive to achieve Gladiator status by earning points in various events that test agility, speed, balance, intelligence, stamina, and much much more. The person who earns the most points…becomes a Gladiator.

Once someone achieves this status, they win amazing prizes and recognition and return to all future events with special privileges and roles in the games.

But that’s not all. If you are too intimidated, drunk, or uninterested in competing, youcan play a significant role as an audience member. Audience members raise hell, heckle, and are often obstacles for competitors.
