Her work is truly original, one of a kind.

Le fotografie di Barbara non sono mai altisonanti né ricercate. Il tono è piano, delicato, quotidiano, si direbbe. L’effetto più evidente è la capacità di generare sensazioni legate a ricordi. A volte verrebbe da dire alla fine della “lettura” di una sua fotografia: tutto qui? Quando ci si rende conto che effettivamente è “tutto lì”, si ricomincia da capo, si “rilegge” e si apprezza che quella immagine è veramente capace di generare una storia, un racconto, una poesia.

invidia. questo è quello che provo. dimenticate l'accezione negativa del termine. in questo caso è un sentimento buono. invidia perchè riesce a fotografare dentro le persone. riesce a cogliere le sfumature nascoste e a esaltare la poesia di chi si trova dinanzi al suo obiettivo. non mi riesce di pensarla mai… Read more

Barbara è così. Niente di meno, ma tante cose in più.

Le fotografie di Barbara sono come caramelle, quelle che le nonne mettono nei cestini per i nipoti che vengono a trovarle. Sono messe lì con amore, con un sorriso premuroso. I bambini che arrivano le trovano tutte diverse e colorate, ogni volta che le scartano è una sorpresa, ogni volta è un gioco. Mi immagino la nonna che guarda contenta, commossa dal sorriso dei nipotini. Grazie nonna Babi. :-)

Babeffe o'hara... the queen of the blur!, yep, that's a good nickname for you dear missie! even if your pictures go beyond that, you will be definitely remembered for this blurry perception of the word in this flickr realm, you! the queen of its blurry sphere! CHARACTERISTIC and UNUSAL are the adjectives that i must use in here, 'cos that's exactly what you see in her photostream, every picture is marked with the Babi's touch, very individual in style... 'la dura vita del maestro zen' is one of my favourite series on flickr lately, and not because of the models, but 'cos of the brill treatment, the light, the colour temperature and the movement! i would want to see more of her brilliant selfportrait as well! great photographer! even if i don't understand her italian language what unables me to get all that she expresses, i really enjoy dropping in here, it's a good place for a visual trip, good job missie! :)

Ok, time has come. It was march, I had been flickring since 6 months and I talked about it to one of my best friends. She accepted my invitation. In the first phase, she posted most of all old scanned photos of her holidays. In the second phase, she posted blurred photos in which you could hardly distinguish the subject. Now she's become a nice photographer, especially in making portraits. Cause it's people that interest her more than anything else. I knew it. I knew she was an artist. I knew she was a visual one. I knew she loves discovering people. But none could have ever guessed that she was going to become such a flickr addict. The only problem is: she's less "mine" than before flickr, cause many others are appreciating her great sensitivity.
