Baan Sok is a group of individuals, working to help the children from the massive garbage dump in Steung Meanchey, Phnom Penh Cambodia. Baan Sok works primarily with the Center for Children's Happiness-a center for the children from the dump. www.cchcambodia.org

Almost all the photographs on the Baan Sok flickr account have been taken by children who used to live and work in the dump. Baan Sok's Project Smile trained the children who were interested in photography and took them to different places in and around Phnom Penh to take pictures and learn more about their country while at the same time raising awareness to help the children still living in the garbage dump.

In a few months I will be having advanced photography classes with the children at CCH, and so I should have some very high quality pictures by the children.
