This photo gallery of geologic scenes from Arizona was made possible by a grant from the American Association of Petroleum Geologists. Most of the images are the work of Dr. Dale Nations, Professor Emeritus at Northern Arizona University.

In building this gallery of images, our objective was to provide a photographic record of the splendid geology of northern Arizona. For nearly 40 years, Dr. Nations and his students roamed across northern Arizona investigating the make-up and origin of its Mesozoic and Paleozoic rocks.
