Welcome to the photo gallery of the Adventurous Young Mazamas!

AYM is one of about twenty committees that make up the Mazamas - a climbing & hiking organization located in Portland, Oregon which was originally established on the summit of Mt. Hood in 1894.

AYM's goals are to attract younger people to the Mazamas, get them to join as full members - and to encourage their continued involvement, participation and leadership within the organization. In addition to the many hikes, xc-ski and snowshoe trips each year, AYM also occasionally offers a number of other activities like whitewater rafting, mountain biking, cave exploration and sea kayaking which are a bit outside the usual focus of the Mazamas.
