i met Ayesha on a flight a few years ago... she had on these headphones and was singing along to some music. we were about to take off - but the entire plane still had to be boarded. she looked very happy, this bothered me a bit, i don't like ppl smiling for no good reason. i'm a grouch - i admit it. i decided to do something about this. my plan was to unplug her earphones from her iPod and removed the battery (yes, this was a few years ago - but she had a beta version due to some connections with some Apple executive types). she was sitting two seats over - so it was a bit of a challenge. i knew instantly that if i made a mistake getting to that iPod - i would get a swift *thupperd* to the cheek (yes, i've experienced the *thupperd* on a few occasions - but we won't get into details). *ahem* we had a few more minutes before we were supposed to take-off - and i was getting anxious because she kept smiling while listening to her iPod, even more now (it must've been Abrar she was listening to). 2 minutes before the doors closed we all heard some crazy woman screaming, *wait, wait, don't forget me... i don't wanna miss the flight*. i looked over the front seats to see who it was - and it was some orange bell bottomed girl with a bunch of writing on her right hand and a dull plastic well-used fork in her left hand. i kept on praying that she would sit far, far away from me. guess where she sat? right in between me and Ayesha. *sigh* long story short - she smiled at Ayesha and then turned to me - no smile, but i got a scary glare. the rest of the flight i kept worrying about that dull fork in her hand - needless to say, i never got my hands on the iPod. on top of that, these two girls kept giggling and laughing and talking through the entire flight about how much one hated chai and how much the other loved it.. it was hellish. =) all kidding aside... it's been a blast to see Ayesha kindev go through so many life changes over the last few months. from single student-hood to beautiful bride, from one CA to another CA. lots of fun to have her around and always look forward to her humour (yes Anjum, i did include a *U* just for you) and her photos. about time i got to this - been meaning to for a long time now. all the best to you miss ladylongbottom. ;o)
