I am a designer by profession, having graduated from the National Institute of Fashion Technology and the National Institute of Design in India. My areas of design cover Interaction, Products and Image making.

I was born and brought up in the city of Calcutta, amongst its vibrant intellectual, aesthetic and literary atmosphere. At an age when children were growing up to be the next Tendulkars, and Hrithiks, i was growing up idolising Ray and Tagore. This had nothing to do with their Bengali heritage, or their immense contribution in their respective fields, but their sheer versatility in handling knowledge from various fields of life and integrating them through various mediums of creative expression.

This i have always beleived in my philosophy of life, that the human self is capable of an amazing variety of tasks throughout ones life and we are lucky enough to have got this one chance to do that.

Most of us, through our vertical thinking system of education and the propagandist and censuring society around us, tend to underestimate and thereby deny ourselves of a huge level of intellectual and intelligent achivements.

My primary intellectual pursuit is to deconstruct all the layers of meanings, symbolism, laws, morals, ethics, that society has constructed around us, and try and understand things from its evolutionary perspective and where humans fit in the journey of life on this planet.

During this process i have come to believe that nature is the only truth, and even in her, there are always exceptions. Everything is relative in nature and nothing is absolute, and she herself doesnt belive in perfection. Otherwise no life would have ever got extinct. The beauty about her lies in the fact that nature itself negates her own creation and yet paradoxically, is still refining its design process to survive that process.

The relation of time, space, reality and consciousness is what my philosophy of life and aesthetics revolve around and i try to express them through my pictures.

I am just a beginner and everyday i am learning something. Hope you appreciate the images and the philosophy behind them.
