I am guessing its not everyday that an artist/writer can say they could easily study their own work and find new things in it, or who doesn't necessarily understand it to begin with. Or maybe that is a part of being an artist a creative mind, another distinction.
When I write, I honestly don't always put a lot of thought into it, especially with my poetry. When I am writing poems, usually the words are just fitting with my mood, or a mood of certain topic I am thinking about, and then I combine that with other words that contrast or compliment that word somehow, or perhaps in someways they do not work with each other at all. In FBI profiling there is a type of partnership in serial killers called the perfect storm, both are deadly and sadistic thinkers, and they are horrible together, bringing out the worst in both, but this is perfect to there sadistic, twisted needs, The perfect storm. Thats a bit of an extreme comparison to how words work with each other, but perhaps you get my point. I can sit down in a chair, look at a photo, and just start typing, and hardly put any though into the poem, and yet when someone else reads it, they find something that is truly worth something or whatever. I am just naturally talented I suppose.
