Amateur photographer of rather modest, if improving, skills. Mostly I take pictures of things I think look nice or interesting, without anything like a deeper agenda behind it. I've recently taken up 135 film again after being purely digital for nearly a decade, and am learning more about it now.

Sharper minds than mine have made the observation that there are three vitally important things about any camera: what's behind it, what's in front of it, and that you have it with you. The rest is secondary.

If you want/need to know, I use the following:

• Canon PowerShot SX200 IS

• Fujifilm FinePix REAL 3D W3

• Minolta Dynax 5

• Apple iPhone 4 (including Hipstamatic app)

• Nikon D5100 (bought May 2012)

• Pentax K-1000 (bought from a friend, July 2012)

• Canon EOS 300 (present from a friend, March 2013)

• Zeiss Ikon Nettar 517/16 (flea market find)

• Sony Xperia Z3

...and, in the past:

• Nikon Zoom Touch 400 (1992-2000)

• Konica C35 EF P (2000-2011 -- same roll of film!)

• Canon PowerShot A10 (2002-2004; borrowed from former employer)

• Pentax Espio 70 (2002-2005; borrowed from Dad)

• Sony Ericsson T610 (2003-2007; quality-wise a joke)

• cheap no-name Chinese digital camera (2003; horrendous quality)

• Canon PowerShot A80 (2004-2009, when the CCD died)

• Sony Ericsson W810i (2007-2009)

• Apple iPhone 3G (2009-2011)

• Miranda DX-3 (bought at flea market, July-August 2012; in bad shape and broke after three rolls)
