Discovered five new viruses.

Developed one cancer vaccine.

Searching for novel cancer therapeutics and affordable vaccines for the third World developing countries.

I started taking photos when I was still in elementary school (a Twin-Lens-Reflex camera, 120 format). I still remember spending countless hours in the dark room with my cousins in HangZhou during the winter and summer breaks. That was lot of fun. In high school, I got my hands on a HaiOu 35mm SLR (Seagull DF, Made in Shanghai), and really impressed by the quality. Now I prefer Canon digital bodies and lenses .

Canon Xt, Xti, T1i (2011-2012) and T3i (2012-present)

Canon 18-55mm, Canon 18-55mm IS, 50mm 1.8, 50mm 1.4, 17-40mm 4L, 24-105mm 4L IS, Canon EF 1.4X II Extender, 100mm Macro2.8 and 70-200mm 4L IS(my favorite).

Sony NEX-5N. Sony 18-55mm and 16mm f/2.8. (2011-2012)

Leica X1 (2012-present)

Fuji X-E1, 18-55mm, 35mm (2012-present)

I am a better photographer for knowing him, and I have been going to "school" with his photostream for nearly two years. Aside from his obvious talent with a camera, he is also one of Flickr's good guys, always taking the time to encourage me in my efforts to improve as a photographer. Spend some time looking through his Flickr portfolio, you'll be glad you did.

Image after image, one can only look at Huang's photos and say, "wow! so poetic! I want to do that!!" that's what looking through his photostreams did to me. Please visit his D.C. collection and see if for yourself! I'm so flattered to call him friend here on flickr and even more honored to have him share his lovely creations with me and the rest of the flick community. Lastly, please read his profile...he's a man on a mission to change the world's health and make our world a better and safer place, especially for developing countries. Thank you Huang for being such an inspiration! P.S. I know that my testimony will get buried amongst a few more soon:) Sincerely, samantha

Hang Yuan, or as he is known as 'avirus', is a great photographer with a keen eye for details and colors. He has been on Flick for a few months, but I enjoy his photographic images, and I look forward to seeing what comes up next on his photostream. And, he works to help the world, too!
