Please I wanted to let everyone know my PRO account for this particular name/account will be expiring soon. I will be trying to switch everything over to a more professional name....using the imthinkgintoutloud name in some way. I will try to convert everyone I have made friends with over to that account as well. It will be a long process, but worth it to have a "pro" portfolio of my work with my professional name. This should be happening very very soon, within the next couple of days. And I have no clue how long it will take to upload all these files to the new account. WOW! Talk about an undertaking!
Thanks a million for all your support and I sure hope I can switch all my friends and supporters and those I adore over as soon as possible.
My name is Lori and I am an award-winning, completely
self-taught photographer and digital artist. I have about 11
years of photo editing experience and many more in graphic
arts...if you also count Preschool paste, saftey scissors, and
big fat crayons. I have taken photos off and on for well over
20 years. I started with a Kodak Instamatic my mom gave to
me when I was just a kid. Using my printed photos, markers and some construction paper I was able to create my own masterpieces to place on the fridge and adorn my bedroom walls. That seems so primitive in this day and age!
Today, I use my trusty, beloved Fuji Finepix s5700 digital camera wtih a simple polarizer filter, my computer and software and sometimes even borrow my husbands digital tablet.
How the times have changed, but my passion for giving life
to my ideas and seeing the world around me in different
ways is still as strong as ever.
I find beauty in just about everything! A fallen leaf, a
stunning sunset, the way the light and shadows play across
gravestones, or my children playing outside in the snow.
I don't have a favorite subject in photography and my style is
simple, but eclectic. Changing with my moods and whatever
happens to catch my eye on any given day. The inspiration
for my digital art comes from so many places! It might come
from a phrase in a song, a dream, a random thought, something in a conversation spoken or overheard, or part of what I see around me.
Of course my work is not limited to just photos and digital
art. I also love making things that I come up with on a whim.
It can be custom clothing, bead and wire wrapped vases,
whimsical jewelry, and even a wild idea for a new recipe. I am fortunate to have a vivid and fertile imagination.
There is never a dull moment in my head!
My artwork is just me...thinking out loud.
I hope you enjoy viewing my work as much as
I enjoy creating it!

Lori has a very unique eye and we are lucky to be able to experience some of her work. I am very excited that she has joined our group and look forward to seeing more of her creativity in the future.
Lori isn't afraid of taking creative risks to produce a fresh, imaginative photo. I look forward to seeing more!
Lori is blessed with the eyes and mind of a wise, old artist. I see Man-Ray, Weston, Monet, Lange and Adams in her work. She loves to work in the realm of the forgotten and abandoned, and she breathes new life into dead things. Take the time to view this gallery and experience peace, contentment and joy!
