Just really getting into photography purely as a hobby. I really enjoy the communications aspect of it - being able to describe something that I enjoy to others. I think that photography is a much better way to go about doing that than actually telling the story - you would understand if you sat through a couple of my stories. Its a way to be precise and detailed along with being concise and simple at the same time.

I've started by focusing on landscapes and stationary objects to allow ample time to get the right shot. I'm trying to start on portraits and other more dynamic styles. I'm certainly interested in advice - so feel free to crtique in comments or send me an email.

From what I've seen so far, this is a great place full of creativity - hoping to pick some of that up.
